Steubenville, Ohio
The Barons' Women's Soccer team is on an historic start to their season. Nine games in, they have allowed only one goal. They are undefeated on the year and are on a program record eight game shutout streak. Last week the Barons defeated the St. Vincent Bearcats and Thiel Tomcats 1-0 a piece. The defensive line allowed only four SOG against the Bearcats and zero against Thiel.
Catherine DeWolf played all 180 minutes last week on the back line for the Barons. In addition to the defensive wall her and fellow back liners made, DeWolf has been a threat on offense. She recorded an assist in the game-winner against the Bearcats earning her recognition in the PAC as the Defender of the Week.
Congratulations Catherine and well done Barons!
