Today's senior spotlight is Jeremy Sagun, a four-year member of the baseball team from Buffalo, New York. Last season, he made 11 pitching appearance, including nine starts. He threw 48.1 innings, and he looks to be a large part of the rotation in 2026. 

What are you looking forward to most about the upcoming season?
Sagun: With added talent at every position and more depth to our bench, I am looking forward to winning many games and making the conference playoffs.

What is your most memorable moment at Franciscan throughout your career?
Sagun: My most memorable moments at Franciscan have been the Baseball spring break trips to Florida, as well as my semester abroad in Austria

What are your plans after graduating from Franciscan?
Sagun: I will be getting my masters in mental health counseling at Franciscan

 

Who has made the biggest impact on your life?
Sagun: My parents, brothers and a few specific older friends i had in my younger years of college

 

What is the best piece of advice that you can give to the incoming freshmen at Franciscan?
Sagun: Pray every day, receive Jesus in the Eucharist, and hangout with people that will love you well and that you can have fun with.
