How It Happened
The Barons made the trip to Wilmington on Saturday to take on the Quakers. A back-and-forth start gave us a 2-2 score before James Masso and Ayden Burke scored to give the Barons a 4-2 lead heading into the second quarter. Wilmington answered with three goals to take the lead. The Barons were able to tie it back up, but then Wilmington held a two-goal lead at halftime.
The Quakers came out with three consecutive goals to start the second half. The Barons, who were playing without several major contributors, got worn down. Wilmington won the second half 7-3 to maintain the lead and secure the win.

Franciscan will have a quick turnaround. They host Mount Union on Monday at 7:00 p.m. This game was rescheduled from last Wednesday due to severe weather. The last time the Purple Raiders came to Steubenville, in 2024, the Barons won by a score of 14-12.
