Steubenville, Ohio – The Franciscan men's basketball team will take on New Jersey City University (NJCU) for the first round of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Tournament on Saturday on their campus in Jersey City, New Jersey
The Barons enter the tournament with a record of 21-6 after falling to Washington & Jefferson in the PAC Semifinal on Thursday. NJCU holds a 14-12 record after falling to Rowan in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Quarterfinals.
This is Franciscan's third appearance in the ECAC Tournament. They are in search of their first ECAC Tournament win.
There are eight teams participating in this year's ECAC Tournament.
Quarterfinals - Saturday, March 7

Game #1: No. 1 Pitt Greensburg vs. No. 8 SUNY Maritime at TBD
Game #2: No. 4 Franciscan University vs. No. 5 NJCU at TBD

Game #3: No. 2 Keene State vs. No. 7 Maine Presque Isle at TBD
Game #4: No. 3 McDaniel College vs. No. 6 Rutgers Camden at TBD
Semifinals - Sunday, March 8
Pod 1 hosted by NJCU
Game #5: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2
Pod 2 hosted by Keene State
Game #6: Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4
Championship - Saturday, March 14
Game #7: Winner Game #5 vs Winner Game #6
The championship game will be played on campus at one of the two teams that advance from the first weekend.
