3/24/2026 12:30:00 PM

GREENWOOD, Ind. –  Anthony Ciola (Burke, Va. / Homeschool), Zach Oliver (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Blackhawk), Aiden Townsend (Beaver, Pa. / Beaver Area), and Volodymyr Trotsko (So. Bila Tserkva, Ukraine / Colts Neck) were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

This is the first time that any of these four honorees have earned this honor, and it is the first time that Franciscan Men's Basketball has had four players, the maximum allowed, earn this honor in a season.

Zach Oliver, a Business major, led the Barons in rebounding at 7.9 per game and was second on the team in scoring at 12.8 ppg. Aiden Townsend, a Management major, played in 28 games, including 16 starts, and scored a career-high 25 points in the regular season win at Allegheny. Trotsko and Ciola earned this honor in their first year of eligibility, as one has to be at least a sophomore academically and athletically to earn this distinguished honor.
