How It Happened
The Barons grabbed their first 2026 PAC win defeating the Thiel Tomcats at home off incredible batting. Both Cooke and Winner grabbed solo home runs and took advantage of multiple Tomcat errors to grab an early 5-1 lead. The Tomcats had their own answer in the 5th grabbing a two run home run to bring the score to 3-5. After the huge momentum swing from the homer, the Barons dug in and made quick work of the top of the Tomcat lineup closing out the 7th inning and securing the victory.Â

How It Happened
Game 2 the Barons struck first blood getting a run in the bottom of the first. The Tomcats answered back in the 3rd taking the lead. Then the Barons answered back regaining the lead in the bottom of the 4th. The top of the 5th was the defining inning for the game. The Barons were leading 3-2, but the Tomcats used tallied back-to-back home runs which heavily swayed the momentum of the game. They inched out two more runs in the sixth and another in the 7th. The Barons were only able to add one more run and fell to the Tomcats in game two 4-8.
A less exciting way to end the evening, but an exciting one as the Barons pick up their first PAC win since their split with W&J early last season.
