How It Happened
The Barons have plagued themselves this season with early innings catastrophes. They've shown that they can go toe to toe with each PAC opponent thus far, but there's always been "that one inning". Again on the road in Washington, Pa, the Barons had a letdown in the bottom of the 2nd allowing seven runs, then another four in the bottom of the 3rd.
Their consistent at the plate scoring another four runs and holding their three run average per game. Their scoring was highlighted by Maxwell sailing her second home run of the season over the fence in the top of the 3rd.

-Maxwell was 2 for 2 with 1 run and 1 RBI off her solo homer
-Davis was 2 for 3 with 1 run
-Smaciarz was 1 for 3 with 1 run and 2 RBI's

How It Happened
Janey Winner got the start in the circle for game 2, her second start of the season as she continues to get more comfortable in that role. She started off hot blanking the Presidents in the 1st, but the Presidents opened up scoring in the second tallying five runs. The defense for game 2 was elevated for both teams. The Barons held the Presidents to three less runs, but their offense was held to 3 hits and 1 run.

The Barons will remain on the road. They will travel to Hiram on Tuesday for a doubleheader that starts at 3:30 p.m. This will be the first time that the Barons anf Terriers play in softball.
