The Latest
- The Barons travel to Viera West, Florida, this week to compete in their Spring Break tournament. The Barons will be competing in the Sunshine State for the first time since 2015, after playing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in recent years.  
- The Barons split their season-opening doubleheader against La Roche, winning the first game 4-1 
- On Monday, Emma Davis was named PAC Hitter of the Week, and Elizabeth Forster was named PAC Newcomer of the Week
- Starting Pitcher Hayley Cook earned the win for the Barons, recording 3 strikeouts in the first game
- This is the first season-opening win since 2020
- Other notable hitters include Abigail Savage, who went 3-for-3 in the second game with four RBIs. Emma Clow also hit .500 in her four at-bats with one RBI 

Scouting the Opponents
-  The Barons play against Cornell College and Fitchburg State College on Monday, March 9th. In 2025, Cornell College held a 16-20 overall record, with an 8-8 record in their conference. Fitchburg State College held a record of 7-32 last season, winning three out of 14 conference games.
- Tuesday, March 10th, the Barons matchup against Wheaton College (Ill.) and Wisconsin Lutheran College. Wheaton College recorded an 18-22 record and a 5-11 conference record in the 2025 season. Wisconsin Lutheran College went 9-29 overall last season and went 4-20 in their conference. 
- After a brief hiatus from games on Wednesday, the Barons play Greenville University and Monmouth College on Thursday, March 12th. Greenville University went 37-6 in the 2025 season, securing a 16-2 record in their conference. Last season, Monmouth College was 6-32 overall and 2-14 in their conference.
- In their final day of gameplay, the Barons will face Saint Mary's College (IN.) and Lakeland University. Saint Mary's College was 10-20 in their 2025 overall schedule with a 4-12 record in conference play. Last season, Lakeland University went 20-22, while earning a 13-11 conference record. 

Spring Break Stats
- In the 2025 season, the Barons recorded a team batting average of .359 during their Spring Break trip to Myrtle Beach. 
- The Barons recorded 55 hits and 42 RBIs as a team 
- Adding two wins to their record, the Barons defeated Cairn University 2-0 and SUNY Canton 16-8 during their Spring Break trip last season. 

Davis's Doubles
- Emma Davis led the Barons at the plate by going 5-for-8, including a pair of doubles in last Saturday's doubleheader
- Davis recorded a .625 batting average, .875 slugging percentage, and seven total bases
- Scoring two RBIs in the first game, Davis put the Barons ahead 2-0 in the bottom of the third. Elizabeth Forster then delivered with a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth, securing the lead 4-0 
- Davis is the first Baron to win PAC Hitter of the Week

Forster Finding the Flagpole
- Elizabeth Forster went 3-for-7 in Saturday's doubleheader, with one double and one home run 
- Batting .429, Forster recorded three RBIs and seven total bases
- Forster's two-run home run sailed over the center field fence and almost hit the American flag, to close out the first game 4-1. 
- Forster joins Kimberly McDaniels and Lilly Wahl as Barons who have won PAC Newcomer of the Week 

Letting Her Cook
- Hayley Cook tallied her first win of the season on the mound Saturday
- Striking out three batters, Cook allowed only seven hits in the complete-game win against the Redhawks
- Cook also closed out the second game in the circle, recording one strikeout for the Barons
