How It Happened
The Barons took an early 2nd inning lead off back-to-back home runs from Forster and Smaciarz. That lead only lasted an inning. In the top of the 3rd, the Bearcats tallied 14 runs. The Barons ceded a handful more in later innings to finish up game 1 in 5 innings with a score of 21-2.

How It Happened
After a solo homer in game 1,
Lorelei Smaciarz followed it up with a three run shot in the bottom of the 5th to bring the Barons total to four runs. They continue to stay consistent at the four run a game mark. The big hit potential is vast improved and gives them a chance to win any game. Today a handful of errors and a solid Bearcat offense led to a couple of tough results, but their consistency is a good sign heading into the continuation of their doubleheader Monday vs Hiram.

Up Next
The Barons return home Monday, April 13th at 4:30pm to complete their doubleheader against Hiram College. The game was postponed due to weather at Hiram College last week. The game location was moved to Steubenvile, OH. The game was paused in the 7th inning with the Barons leading 6-4, but facing bases loaded.
