How It HappenedÂ
The Barons are now on a win streak going 2-0 in the last week, getting to .500 in the PAC good enough for 5th place right now after a road win at the PAC newcomers Hiram college.
The Baron defense was key to their victory. They slightly edged the Terriers in the faceoff circle going 9-16 as a team. Limiting defensive possessions is crucial to success in lacrosse, but having a goalkeeper like John Kirk doesn't hurt either. The Terriers mustered 15 shots on goal which were just a few shy of the Barons production, but the Terriers didn't have Kirk in front of those shots. Kirk made a staggering 12 saves to hold the Terriers offense and give the Barons the strong victory in a low scoring affair.Â
Inside the NumbersÂ
- Joe Delee led the Barons with 4 goals
- Pio Kirk had a game-high 3 assists
- LeBlanc tallied 3 caused turnovers and 7 ground balls
