How It Happened
The first couple of innings were clean three up three down innings, but the Gators struck first in the top of the third. The Barons were blanked again in the third, but were still very much in the game only down one and defense playing excellent. Trouble came in the top of the fourth. The Barons ceded a couple of hits and then the Gators Magee had a two run shot deep over center field. That plus another run before getting out of the inning put the Barons in a dire position with the Gators controlling the momentum. The Barons managed one run in the bottom of the fourth, but were blanked otherwise and fell to the Gators 5-1 in seven innings.
At the Plate
- Forster was 1 for 3 with a double and one run
