How It Happened 
The Franciscan women's soccer team continued its impressive run of form on Saturday afternoon, delivering a commanding 3-0 shutout victory against Hiram College at Charles A. Henry Field. With the win, the Barons improve to an overall record of 4-0-1 (1-0-0 PAC), extending their early-season unbeaten streak.
From the opening whistle, Franciscan asserted its dominance, heavily outshooting the Terriers 17 to 6 over the course of 90 minutes. The defensive backline put together a masterclass performance, limiting Hiram to just two shots on target. Goalkeeper Callie Giguere stood tall when tested, turning away both shots to earn a well-deserved clean sheet.
The Barons' relentless offensive pressure broke the deadlock in the 20th minute. Striker Lizzy Craig gathered the ball and slotted home her fourth goal of the season to put Franciscan ahead 1-0. The team continued to push the pace, creating multiple corner opportunities and forcing Hiram's keeper to make four saves in the first half to keep the deficit at one.
Franciscan found another gear in the second half, doubling its advantage at the 58:50 mark. Capitalizing on a beautifully orchestrated team build-up, Elizabeth Earnhardt found the back of the net for her first goal of the year, assisted by Theresa English and Michelle Lopez.
The visitors officially put the match out of reach in the 83rd minute. Following a yellow card issued to Hiram, defender Catherine DeWolf took advantage of the momentum and buried an unassisted strike to secure the final 3-0 margin. DeWolf paced the Barons' attack with a team-high four shots, three of which were on target.
Franciscan dominated every statistical category, finishing with a 10-4 advantage in corner kicks while maintaining complete composure, committing just one foul in the final 45 minutes of play.
