2023: Played and started in a 30 games this season for the Barons ... led the team with a .400 batting average, nine doubles, two home runs, and 18 RBIs ... held a .558 slugging percentage and .473 on base percentage ... had a 14 game hit streak in the middle of the season ...
ends his career as the program leader in hits (130), RBIs (90), doubles (32), home runs (8), and total bases (192).
2022: Burke appeared in 36 games with 35 starts, and made 3 appearances on the mound. Burke led the Barons in almost all hitting statistics including; batting avg (.417), hits (55), doubles (12), triples (2), HR's (5), and RBI's (46). His 46 RBI's is currently the single season Baron record. A highlight of the season was against St. Vincent at home where Burke went 3 for 5 at bat with 3 Home Runs and a single-game record 8 RBI's. Burke's efforts at bat earned him the PAC Hitter of the Week on 3/7.
2021: He played in 27 games this season, while starting in all but one of them. Burke batted .344 on the year with 31 hits. He drove in 24 runs and scored 20 runs in his first full season. Burke had 10 doubles, a triple and a home run, one of three Barons to have at least one of each. His .511 slugging percentage was second to only Costello among qualifying batters. Burke also only struck out three times in 90 at bats. His 30.0 at bats per strikeout is 11th best among all Division III players with at least 90 at bats. The catcher was strong behind the dish, as he held a .982 fielding percentage and caught five runners stealing. His best day at the plate came against Thiel, as he went 4-4 with a three run home run in the seven inning game.
2020: Started in nine games for the Barons in the shortened season ... batted .300 in the shortened season ... had six hits while scoring three runs and driving in two ... hit one double and drew four walks ... struggled on the mound as he allowed 18 earned runs in 6.0 innings on the year ... walked seven while striking out five ... allowed one home run.
Personal: Son of Tim and Karen. Majoring in Theology and Catechetics. He chose Franciscan because of the Catholic culture, faith life, and amazing people. Brendan plans on working with FOCUS Missionary after graduation. His patron saint is St. Samuel.
