OBERLIN – Senior Grace Galligan (Springfield, PA/Saint Philomena Academy) led the Franciscan women's cross country team to a ninth-place finish at the Inter-Regional Rumble, their highest team finish in program history, Saturday morning.

Galligan paced the Lady Barons as she took 14^th overall with a time of 22:47.7, just six seconds off of her personal best in a 6K race. Freshman Alison Bryant (Arlington, TX/Nolan Catholic) posted a personal best time as she finished 23^rd overall with a time of 23:07.2. Classmate Mary Jo Schirger (Rochester, MN/Mayo) also crossed the finish line with a personal-best time as she took 31^st overall with a time of 23:18.7, more than 30 seconds faster than her previous personal best.

Sophomore Grace Scrocca was the fourth Lady Baron across the finish line and third with a personal best as she finished 104^th overall with a time of 24:42.7. Senior Carolyn Poston (North Royalton, OH/Kolbe Academy) was the fifth finisher for the Lady Barons with a personal-record of 25:00.9 and she was 124^th overall.

Freshman Elizabeth Atkins (Mason, OH/William Mason) also posted a personal best time as she crossed the line at 25:44.2 to take 169^th overall. Freshman Ashlin LaFond (Menomonee Falls, WI/Brookfield Academy) rounded out the top seven runners for Franciscan with a personal best time of 26:11.2 to take 192^nd overall.

The Barons will have next week off as they prepare for the AMCC championship meet on Saturday, October 27. The AMCC championship race will be held on Franciscan's campus and is set to begin at 11:00 am.
