AKRON – The Franciscan women's cross country team saw six of its eight runners in the 6K collegiate race hit personal records in the All-Ohio Championship, hosted by Akron University, Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Barons finished eighth out of 17 DIII teams and the field consisted of runners from all three divisions of the NCAA and the NAIA.

Senior Grace Galligan (Springfield, PA/Saint Philomena Academy) led the contingent of Lady Barons as she finished 34^th overall and was the fifth DIII runner to cross the finish line. Galligan posted a personal-best time of 22:39.6, 29 seconds faster than her previous top time in a 6K race. Freshman Alison Bryant (Arlington, TX/Nolan Catholic) finished 26^th among DIII runners as she crossed the finish line with a personal-best time of 23:45.5. Sophomore Grace Scrocca finished 83^rd for DIII runners with a personal-best time of 25:04.1.

Junior Carolyn Poston (North Royalton, OH/Kolbe Academy) turned in a personal-best time as well as she crossed the line at 25:30.5 and was the 99^th DIII runner across the finish line. Freshman Elizabeth Atkins (Mason, OH/William Mason) was the sixth Lady Baron across the finish line and the sixth Lady Baron with a personal best as she finished with a time of 26:40.3.

Junior Kristine Stickney (Apex, NC/Home School) rounded out the scoring runners for the Lady Barons as she finished 124^th among the DIII runners with a time of 27:13.8 and freshman Ashlin LaFond (Menomonee Falls, WI/Brookfield Academy) was the final Lady Baron in the collegiate meet to cross the line at 28:09.1.
