How it Happened
•  Sophomore Nick Miller put a shot on goal that was deflected by the Lions goalie to set up a corner kick for the Barons. Miller sent the corner kick right in front of Baldau who got his head on it and put the ball in between a defender and the goalie for the 1-0 lead in the 19th minute.
• Just over two minutes later, junior keeper Brian Gaughan made his second save of the game to keep the lead. Gaughan made his third of the night in the 40th minute as Franciscan carried the 1-0 win into the break.
• Franciscan got a pair of corners in the first two and a half minutes of the second half but couldn't get a shot off.
• in the 50th minute, junior Sebastian Koehler got tripped up and fouled inside the 18-yard box and the Barons were awarded their third penalty kick of the season. Miller buried the shot into the back left corner to give Franciscan a 2-0 lead.
• Gaughan made his final save of the game with 2:33 left to preserve his sixth shutout of the season.
