How it Happened

• The Lady Barons would come out firing on all cylinders in set one, jumping out to an early lead of 14-7, thanks to  a pair of Renee Antonelli kills and one from Meghan Bayer. Altoona called a timeout and came back ready to play, as they would go on an 18-8 run to come back and take set one.
• A back and forth beginning to set two, until a 5-0 Franciscan run gave the Lady Barons a 10-6 edge. Meghan Bayer had three service aces in a row during that run, but the Lady Lions would respond with a 5-0 run of their own to take the edge 11-10. Lauren Betar added a service ace along with a few Lady Lion errors, gave the Lady Barons a 19-17 edge, but an 8-3 run by Altoona closed out set two.
• Set three was all Lady Lions as they jumped out to an early 11-2 lead. A 3-0 run by the Lady Barons, including a kill by MaryKate Taylor, and a 5-0 run with two kills from Emily Nutter put the game back in reach at 13-11. The Lady Lions would close out on a big run again as a 12-1 run put the set away.

• Meghan Bayer led the team in kills with nine, but had a negative kill percentage for the second time all year.
• Sidney Riley led the Lady Barons with ten assists, and Emily Nutter added six.
• Meghan Bayer led the team with fourteen digs, and MaryKate Taylor added eleven.
