Barons Offense Goes Off in Win Against Panthers

BRADFORD, PA: Four Barons score in double figures as Franciscan puts up a season high 98 points in a win at Bradford.

How it Happened
  • The Panthers and Barons would trade early buckets as they were tied at 7-7 with 16:44 left in the half. The Barons would go on a run as Sean Hickey added a pair of threes, and Matt Trent added three buckets in a 14-0 run to thrust the Barons into a 21-7 lead with 12:32 left. Justin Kusiappouh finally snapped the run  by converting a pair of free throws.
  • The Barons would not look back as Joe Schriner would go on a personal run of his own by scoring the Barons next 10 points. The Panthers would respond and cut the lead back to nine at 35-26 with 4:46 left in the half. Schriner would continue to lead the way for the Barons, and the point guard combo of John Noce and Justin Mack would add buckets to expand the lead back to 48-29 at half.
  • The Barons would come out in the second half by hitting their first three shots as Schriner hit another jumper and Hickey connected on a pair of threes. The Barons would continue the strong offensive attack as they stretched the lead to 36, at 74-38 as Dalton Davis added a pair of free throws and Gabriel Roach added a jumper. Josh Zimmerman would join the second half score sheet by converting a layup, he would record a career high 8 points on 4-4 shooting. 
  • Andrew Salasek, Christian Commenge and Nate Nowicki would hit threes down the stretch as 11 Barons would score tonight as they would cruise on to a 98-68 victory.

Inside The Box Score
  • The Barons shot 50% from three, including six makes from Sean Hickey, tying a program record for most threes in a game. 
  • Joe Schriner recorded a season high 21 points, tying his career high from a game against Washington and Jefferson his Sophomore season (12/18/17)
  • Justin Mack continued his strong play with 11 points and a team high 7 rebounds in 20 minutes of play.
