STEUBENVILLE – After an impressive run through the AMCC tournament, the Franciscan softball season isn't finished yet as the Lady Barons earned hosting rights for the first round of the ECAC Tournament. Franciscan will host Pfeiffer on Wednesday in Steubenville.

Franciscan enters the ECAC Tournament with a 24-14 overall record while Pfeiffer comes in with a 33-7 overall slate.
 
The Lady Barons enter as the No. 6 seed while the Falcons grabbed the No. 3 seeded. AMCC-foe Penn State Behrend earned the No. 1 overall seed and will host the championship weekend, beginning on Saturday.
 
This is the first-ever trip to the ECAC Tournament for the Lady Barons after a record-setting season. Franciscan won the most games in program history and had the highest team batting average (.305), highest hit total (321), and most home runs (18) in a season. The Franciscan pitching staff boasts a 3.56 ERA for the season while striking out 125 batters.  
 
The Lady Barons will welcome Pfeiffer to Steubenville on Wednesday. The game time is still to be determined. Live stat and video links will be available on the Franciscan softball schedule page.
 
The winner of the Fransican/Pfeiffer meeting will move on to Saturday and will face the winner of the No. 5 Hunter/No. 4 Albright game at 3:00 pm in Erie, Pa.
