How it Happened

• The Pioneers jump all over the Barons, as they would score 10 unanswered goals. 
• The Pioneers would score four quick goals to start the second quarter, and Micah Eby got removed from goal for Grant McKeown. McKeown seemed to hold his own, as he only allowed one goal in his first 13 minutes, but the Barons offense could still not get going. 
• Dominic Rohan scored the first goal of the second half on an assist from Michael Araps. Araps would score less then thirty seconds later, on an assist from Thomas Thomas. Marietta would swing the momentum back in their favor again as they scored the next four goals. Araps would find Rohan again for another goal later in the quarter. Joe Miraglia added another Baron goal, as they would show some fight in a 5-4 quarter.
• Marietta would pour it on in the fourth quarter, as they scored the first five goals of the quarter. Rohan would add his third goal of the game late in this one to end this one at 25-5.

Inside the Box Score

• Marietta was nearly perfect in being successful on 13 of their 15 clears.
• Neither team was able to cash in on extra man opportunities on the day.
