Race: Live in Lou Classic Women's 6K - Silver Race
Location: Louisville, Ky.
Short Story: Franciscan places 19th, as Alison Bryant places 13th individually amongst 279 runners in the field. 

Race Highlights
The Franciscan Women's Cross Country team took the trip to Louisville, Kentucky for the Live in Lou Classic. Athletes from 41 different Division III schools competed in the 6K Silver Race. The Lady Barons were led by senior Alison Bryant who crossed the finish line with a time of 22:45.3. Her time was just a little over a minute behnd the first place finisher. Ashlin LaFond was next to cross for Franciscan, as she placed 96th with a time of 24:38.4. A pair of newcomers were the next two to finish for Franciscan, as Jessica Campbell placed 125th and Rachel Hurley placed 146th. Rounding out the top five finishers for Franciscan was senior Elizabeth Atkins, whose time of 25:47.0 . was good enough for 157th place. 

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps won the team event with 43 points. Evie Bultemeyer of Trine was the first to cross the finish line with a time of 21:32.3. Two other PAC schools competed in this race with Geneva placing 27th as a team and Chatham 34th.

Franciscan will have some time to rest and prepare for the Intra-Regional Rumble at Oberlin on October 16th. This race will be another big test for the Lady Barons, as they look to continue to improve in preparations for the PAC Championship later this month.
