How It HappenedÂ
The Franciscan Men's Lacrosse team fell in a nonconference matchup with Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Bethany by a score of 15-10.
The Barons got off to a fast start scoring the opening goal of the game when Gavin Cook found an open Seth Arangua in the third minute of the game. Five minutes later Dan Clayton would find the back of the net giving Franciscan a 2-0 lead. After Bethany netted a pair of goals, Michael Araps scored his first goal of the season, giving Franciscan a 3-2 advantage. Bethany would answer back scoring three straight goals to take their first lead of the game. Araps would end the scoring run, rifling in his second goal of the game with 7:39 remaining in the second quarter. The Bison would add three more goals to go into the half leading 8-4.Â
Michael Francis would score the Barons first goal of the second half, firing a shot past the Bethany goalie making the score 9-5. After Bethany took an 11-5 lead, Araps would find William Muraski for his first goal of the season with just under two minutes remaining in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Elijah Evans would score a pair of goals off passes from Clayton and Arangua, pulling the Barons back within six. The Barons would start to continue to rally when Cook netted a pair of goals thirty seconds apart, pulling Francisan within four with just over two minutes remaning in regulation. The Bison would halt any Baron comeback attempt, scoring with just over a minute remaining to secure the 15-10 victory.Â

Who's Next?Â
Franciscan will return home for a Saturday afternoon game against Westminster. This will be the Barons last non-conference matchup, before conference action heats up on March 31st. The Barons are 0-3 all-time against the Titans. Westminster is 4-1 on the season and riding a four game winning streak coming into this game.Â
