How It Happened
The Franciscan Lady Barons would open up PAC Conference play on a rough note, as they fell to Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday night.
The Lady Barons would jump out to a 1-0 lead, as Annie King would score a goal on an assist by Grace Deegan. The momentum would shift, as the Presidents woulfd score 11 unanswered to end the half. They out shot Franciscan 23-8 in the first half.
Grace Deegan would score the first goal of the second half off of an assist from Maria Hilkert. The Lady Barons would be held scoreless until the final five minutes, when Hilkert found Deegan for her second goal of the game. Maureen Cain would score her first goal of the night shortly after, with an Annie King assist. Franciscan would fall 16-4.

Who's Next?
Franciscan will return home after Easter break to have their home opener against Thiel Monday night. It will be a non-conference contest against the Titans. The Lady Barons are 2-1 all-time against the Titans, but a tough lost in their last meeting in 2019.
