How It Happened 
The Franciscan Lady Barons would fall 5-2 to the Spartans of Case Western Reserve on Wednesday night. 

Both teams were held scoreless for the first twenty two minutes, until Washburn and Dunkers each found the back of the net in the twenty third minute for a quick two goal lead for the Spartans. Franciscan would respond before the end of the half, as Juliana Rubino would lead a quick counter attack and score on a lower ninety ball that was just out of the goalie's reach.

Hartzler would start the second half scoring off for Case Western to stretch the lead up to 3-1. Juliana Rubino would then net her second goal of the day, as her older sister, Bella Rubino, would deliver a great assist. Case Western would add two late goals to make the score look much worse then it felt, as the Lady Barons battled hard for all 90 minutes.

Inside the Numbers 
- Juliana Rubino scored a pair of goals, giving the freshman a team high five goals.
- Bella Rubino's assist gives her two on the season.
- Marita Ostrich had eight saves.
- Gabriella De La Torre took three shots.

Who's Next? 
The Lady Barons will have almost a week off until they face Washington & Jefferson at home next Tuesday. The Lady Barons are looking to snap a 12 game winless streak against the Presidents, as they are 0-11-1 all-time against them. They have fallen 0-1 in their last two meetings over the last two seasons.
