Short Story: Shannon Wieszczek leads the Lady Barons as she places 12th, and the team earns 4th in their second PAC meet

Race Highlights
The Lady Barons made the short trip to Bethany for the their second PAC meet of the season. They placed 4th which was a couple steps down from their second place finish last week. PAC Runner of the Week, Alison Bryant, did not compete for the Lady Barons this week after her dominate win at Saint Vincent as week.. Shannon Wieszczek would lead the way as she placed 12th with a time of 20:56. Not to far behind her was teammate Elizabeth Atkins in 14th place with a time of 21:09. 

Waynesburg would take home the team victory, as they would have four runners place in the top 10. Nicole Shelton from Waynesburg would take home the individual win with a time of 19:45.

Up Next
Franciscan will have nearly two weeks to tweak and finalize preparations for the PAC Championships. Bethany is the host of this year's PAC Championships so they will make the short trip back there on Saturday March 20th. The Women's Cross Country team is competing in their first PAC Championship, and have not won a conference championships since 2018. Waynesburg are the defending PAC Championships and are in search of their 5th straight title.
