How It HappenedÂ
The Franciscan Lady Barons would fall in the PAC matchup against the Chatham Cougars 15-8 on Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars would score the first goal of the game, and then Grace Deegan would score the equalizer on an assist by Christina Haug. The Cougars would score the next four goal, until Grace Deegan would score her second goal of the game. That would be Grace Deegan's 100th goal of her Franciscan career. She is now the fourth player in Franciscan history to score 100 goals. Annie King would score a pair of goals in the final three minutes, to set the score at 7-4 at the half.Â
The Cougars would make their move, by scoring six goals to start off the second half. Maureen Cain and Riley O'Brien would score their first goals of the game on assists from Grace Deegan. Joanna Hilkert and Grace Deegan scored a goal apiece late, but not enough to surmount the comeback, as the Lady Barons would fall 15-8.Â

Franciscan will return home for a game against Waynesburg on Tuesday night at 5:00 pm. The Lady Barons are 6-2 all-time against the Yellow Jackets, with wins in their last five matchups. In 2019, they won 20-2. Grace Deegan scored seven goals in the win, and Carly Mcdonald had nine points with five goals and four assists.
