How It Happened
The Franciscan Women's Soccer team battled Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) to a scoreless draw. Before the game, the Barons honored their eight seniors: Marita Ostrich, Marykate Bateman, Kaitlyn Martuch, Annie Beckman, Sarah Cocozza, Beth Flanagan, Kaitrin O'Leary & Sam Hebert.
The Barons and Titans played most of the game in the middle of the field with both defenses dominating their opponents attack. The Barons did outshoot the Titans 12-7, but each team was only able to but four shots on goal. The Barons best opportunities in regulation were created by Claire Dawyot, who launched a pair of shots in the 58th minute, just missing finding the back of net.
With the neither team able break through, the game went to overtime. The first overtime was more of the defensive struggle with neither team able to get off a shot, sending the game to second overtime. Late in the second overtime, Franciscan would get their best scoring chance when Sarah Cocozza launched a shot from just inside the 18-yard box, but the Titans goalkeeper made the save, preserving the 0-0 tie.
Inside the Numbers
- Claire Dawyot led the Barons, taking four shots

Who's Next?
The Lady Barons will resume PAC play at Geneva on Tuesday night. The Lady Barons are 4-6-1 all-time against the Golden Tornadoes, with their last win coming in 2015. The Lady Barons would win 3-0 on that trip up to Beaver Falls, as Elizabeth Dawyot, Monica Dawyot and Anna McCarty each would score a goal in the victory.
