How It Happened
The Franciscan Women's Soccer team would end their winless drought in a big way at Geneva, as they won 6-0. Freshman Juliana Rubino would score her first career hat trick in the win.

Franciscan would attempt 10 shots in the first half, and half of them would find the back of the net. Just over ten minutes into this one, Juliana Rubino scored her first goal of the game on an assist by Kaitrin O'Leary. A little over two minutes later, Beth Flanagan would register her first goal of the season. Kaitrin O'Leary would join the scoring, with a goal of her own, on an assist by Ellie Scanlon. Then the freshman would take over, as Julian Rubino would score a pair of goals in the final eight minutes of the half to record her first hat trick of her young career. That would send us to the half with a lead of 5-0.

Older sister Bella Rubino would join in on the scoring, as she found the back of the net on an assist by Juliana Rubino. That would set the score at 6-0 with a little over 40 minutes to play. Franciscan would continue to get good looks at goal, as they would record 15 shots in the second half, but the Geneva defense would stand strong. The lone Geneva second half shot was saved by Franciscan backup goalkeeper Mercedes Murray. The Lady Barons would be victorious 6-0
