Franciscan Women's Soccer opened the 2021 season with a non-conference road win at Medaille by a score of #-#
The Lady Barons got on the board early with 5:48 into the first half. Mary Roach sent a beautiful free kick high to left side of the goal, Angela Postage had a great attempt to head the ball into the goal, and Bella Rubino was there to coral the rebound and send it to the back of the net. At 10:50, the Barons have an aggressive push off a big kick from goalkeeper Rebekka Dill, and for the second time in the first half Bella Rubino gets it past the Medaille goalie. In the second half, Tania Davidson kicked one high and right to record her first goal of the season. Her goal was assisted by Kaitrin O'Leary, her second assist for the game.

The Lady Barons remain on the road, as they face off with Hiram College on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. The Lady Barons are 0-2 all-time against the Terriers with the score being 0-2 in each of their previous meetings. In their last meeting in 2019, the Lady Barons out shot the Terriers 18-13, but they could not find the back of the net with Hiram goalie Ally Green shutting down the Franciscan offense all day.Â
