Short Story: The Barons place 6th out of fourteen teams, as they best a handful of Division I programs.

Race Highlights
Franciscan Men's Cross Country had a strong showing at the National Catholic Championships at Notre Dame as they placed 6th on Friday afternoon. Liam Galligan led the way with a 9th place finish in the five mile race. Of the runners to place ahead of Galligan, seven attend Notre Dame and one from Lewis. Mark Borek was the next Baron to cross the finish line, as he placed 33rd in the 151 runner field. Miguel Daez and George Kaftan finished within seconds of each other, as they finished 44th and 46th. Junior Danny Donovan was the fifth Franciscan athlete to finish with 64th place. The 6th place finish was one place better than the Barons finish in 2019 National Catholic Championships.

Up Next
Franciscan will have some time to rest and prepare for the Live in Lou Classic on Saturday October 2nd. They will make the trip to Louisville, a trip they hope to make again in November, as it is the host site for the NCAA Division III Championship as well.
