How It HappenedÂ
Franciscan Women's Soccer traveled to their old conference rival, Pitt.-Greensburg, for a Monday afternoon matchup. It would be a tough start to the game for Francisan, who was coming off a strong performance last Saturday. Greensburg converted two high quality shots into 2 goals in the first 7 minutes. For the next 20 minutes, Greensburg would possess the ball well and register another shot. This one, Dill would be able to stop. Franciscan would catch a break in the 25th minute. Greensburg made a small mistake running offside on an attack. Franciscan would turn the resulting free kick into a push up field, and 40 seconds later Claire Dawyot turned Franciscan's first shot attempt into a solo goal, bringing Franciscan within one. Greensburg didn't let the misfortune change their plan. After several position breakdowns on the defense, Greensburg scored four more goals before half. Franciscan was unable to produce another shot after their goal, and the score at halftime was 6-1.
Possession time in the second half was closer to even than the first half, but Franciscan continued to struggle to produce high-quality attempts. Claire Dawyot and Tania Davidson, trying to get some momentum, would each register a shot but were not able to produce any points. Greensburg would add one final goal before the end of the game, making the final score 7-1 Greensburg.

Who's Next?Â
The Lady Barons will return home for their first PAC game of the season against Waynesburg on Wednesday night. Franciscan is looking to level their all-time record against Waynesburg, as they are 5-6 all-time. The Lady Barons have won the last two meetings including a conference win last season at Waynesburg. Franciscan won 3-0 last season, as Claire Dawyot scored a pair of goals and Bella Rubino added another. Waynesburg appears on paper to be improved from last season, as they went 4-3 in non-conference play.
