How It Happened
The Franciscan Men's Lacrosse made the trip to Muskingum on Wednesday night for a non-conference matchup against the Fighting Muskies. The Barons would get on the board first as Dominc Rohan found Dominic Miraglia for a quick goal less than four minutes into the game. Muskingum would answer with eight goals in row to end the first quarter. The Barons would get some good looks in the second quarter, but the Fighting Muskies controlled the possession battle and capitalized a handful of times in the second quarter. They took a 15-1 lead into the half.

The Barons defense would step up in the second half, as they held the opposition scoreless for the first ten plus minutes. After a save, Richard Vale II saw a seam and took off on a sprint to clear the ball. He passed it up to Dominic Miraglia who gave it right back for a ripped shot by the goalkeeper, Vale, for his first goal of his Franciscan career. Dominic Rohan would add his first goal of the night in the final seconds of the third quarter to send us to the fourth quarter with a score of 18-3. That score would hold, as both defenses did not allow a fourth quarter goal. The Barons now are .500 on the year with a 2-2 record.

Inside the Numbers
- Miraglia scored his fifth goal of the season, 4th best on the team.
- Rohan led the Barons with seven ground balls
- Richard Vale II scored his first goal of his career, while saving a season high 20 shots.
- Alex Gutierrez caused a pair of turnovers.
- The Barons were successful on 24 of 30 clears.

Who's Next?
Franciscan will return home to face Anderson (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon at Trinity Health System Field. This will be the first time in school history that these two teams have played each other in lacrosse.
