How It HappenedÂ
    The Franciscan Women got off to a quick start scoring 8 goals in the first quarter. Grace Deegan started the Barons off with 2 quick goals in the first five minutes. Katheryn Brehm and Annie King each added 2 goals in the first quarter as well. Carolyn Cooke scored the last goal of the quarter and her first on the season. The Barons were able to keep the scoring pace up for the entire game, while sharing the ball and getting production from multiple shooters. The remainder of the Baron goal scorers were Mary Bohli (1), Joanna Hilkert (2), and Theresa Lyle (3).
  The Baron defenders shined tonight with Margaret McKee causing 4 turnovers and grabbing 4 ground balls, and Elizabeth Dudas causing 3 turnovers and grabbing 3 ground balls. Drane Perpepaj joined the 3 ground ball club with three of her own. In addition to the individual performances on defense, the defensive unit as a whole only allowed 10 shots, and goalie Rose Kane had 6 saves on 8 SOG.Â

Who's Next?Â
Franciscan enter conference play this Friday at Westminster. The Titans are 2-2 this season through non-conference play with wins over Heibelberg and La Roche. The Titans are already improved from their 1-7 record last season where the finished 6th in the PAC. Franciscan is 3-1 all-time against Westminster, including a 22-9 win last season at home. Annie King and Grace Deegan each scored five goals in the dominant win.Â
Baron Summer Camps
Franciscan University Athletics is partnering with Steubenville Conferences to offer summer sports camps in conjunction with the Steubenville Main Campus 1 (June 9-12th, 2022) and 3 (June 23-26th, 2022). Youth Conferences. Participants will be able to strengthen both their athletic skills and their relationship with Christ in this uniquely Franciscan hybrid experience.
