Greenville, Pa. - The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced their men's tennis postseason awards on Tuesday afternoon. Six different players earned recognition amongst the First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention. Amongst the major awards,
Travis Mistry (Fr. Groves, Texas / Sabine Pass) was named Newcomer of the Year.
Gary Pierre (Sr. Port Au Prince - Delmas, Haiti / James Madison) joined Mistry on the First Team Singles and Doubles Teams.

Mistry had a stellar freshman season for the Barons, as he went 12-2 in singles play while primarily playing in the #2 spot. He held a perfect 6-0 PAC singles record, as he won his last seven singles matches in his first collegiate season. He was also named to the PAC All-Tournament Team by winning his singles and doubles match in the PAC semifinal. Mistry looks to step up in the lineup and as a leader next season with many players graduating, including his doubles partner
Gary Pierre.
Pierre joined Mistry in being named First Team All-PAC in singles and doubles play. He held a 4-11 singles record, including 3-3 record in conference play with all of his matches being at the #1 spot. The duo held a 6-8 record in #1 doubles throughout the year with a 4-1 PAC record. They won their final five matches together, including a win over St. Vincent in the PAC semifinal. Pierre ends his collegiate career being named All-Conference in singles play three times, including First Team All-PAC back to back seasons.
Representing Franciscan on the Second Team All-PAC was the doubles pairing of
Billy Presume (Sr. Port Au Prince - Delmas, Haiti / James Madison) and
Leo Morella. They combined to have a 6-3 record while primarily playing in the #3 pairing. They held a 3-1 PAC record when paired up together. Morella was also named PAC Rookie of the Week twice this season for the first year playing, senior. This is the second season in a row that Presume has received All-PAC recognition for his doubles play.
Receiving Honorable Mention All-PAC recognition in singles play was
Billy Presume,
Josh Robbins, and
Aidan Howard. Presume held a winning record in singles play as he was 7-6 in his senior season. He held a 4-2 PAC record in singles play. Two of his conference wins came in hard fought comeback three set wins where he lost the first set. Presume also earned the honor of being named to the PAC All-Sportsmanship Team. He ends his Franciscan career with 24 singles victories, 11th most in program history.
Josh Robbins (Sr. Fort Worth, Texas / Timber Creek) earned Honorable Mention recognition for the first time in his three year career. He held a 4-9 record this season with a 4-2 record in PAC play. He had a massive win against St. Vincent in their regular season matchup, as he third set tiebreaker win gave the Barons a 5-4 win over the Bearcats.
Aidan Howard (Gr. Dallas, Texas / Cambridge School) earned Honorable Mention recognition for the second season in a row from the PAC. He held a 5-6 record this season while playing between the #4 and #5 spots in the lineup. He went 3-2 in conference play to help Franciscan hold a 5-1 PAC regular season record. Howard ends his collegiate career with 17 singles wins over five seasons.
The pair of Texans, Robbins and Howard, were also named Honorable Mention in doubles. While paired together, they held an impressive 8-4 record with all the matches coming in the #2 pairing. They helped Franciscan win in conference play, as they held a 4-1 record in conference doubles matches. This was the third time in Howard's career that he earned All-Conference recognition in doubles play, and the first time for Robbins.
