Matchup Preview
The Lady Barons come into this game hungry for a win after falling to the Wolverines 15-14 in overtime earlier this season at their place. Each team took 31 shots and had relatively the same amount of possessions. Franciscan had 24 turnovers, which was their second most of any game this season. They will have to improve on that if they want the score to flip in their favor. Annie King had a season best six goals to lead the Lady Barons. Grace Deegan was held to one goal, as the Wolverines did a great job neutralizing Franciscan's leading scorer. Grove City is in their first year of NCAA competition, and it has been much better than anyone expected already. They had just one conference loss to Washington& Jefferson, who is regionally ranked. They are led by senior attack, Stoltzfus, who has scored 58 goals this season, five coming against Franciscan. They also have another 50+ goal scorer in Madison Nazigian who scored the game winning goal in overtime against Franciscan.
