How It Happened 
    Franciscan Men's Soccer opened their season with a trip to Erie, Pa. to play in the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament. In the first game they played Penn State Behrend and finished the game in a 0-0 tie. Coming into today's game the Barons were 0-14 against PS Behrend. In the last Nick Miller and Jonathan Schriner each had a pair of SOG, and Ryan Miller added his own SOG. Goalkeeper Jax Mautone saved 10 shots for the Barons. His impeccable effort gave the Barons the best possible chance of winning. 

Inside the Numbers  
-Mautone's 10 saves were tied for his second best career save total.
-Franciscan commited 8 fouls compared to PS Behrend's 15
-Franciscan had a low number of corner kicks with only 4

Who's Next? 
Franciscan will get right back after it tomorrow in Erie, as they face Fredonia in a neutral site contest. This will be their first matchup against them in Franciscan Men's Soccer history. This will be the Blue Devils first game of the season, but they have scrimmaged three Division III teams already in preseason play.
