How It Happened
Franciscan Women's Soccer started three newcomers in the season opener, as well as, returning star forward Juliana Rubino. Juliana took last season off experiencing the Franciscan Austria program. She is back joining her talented sister Bella. Last year's peak freshmen performers Rebekka Dill and Tania Davidson are back. This team is a talented team with the perfect mixture of returning talent and exciting new faces. The Penn State Behrend team they faced in the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament in Erie, Pa. today was a great test for the team to start the season with. PS Behrend Women's Soccer won the AMCC last season advancing to the NCAA tournament.
After going down 0-1 in the 13th minute, Tania Davidson scored her first season goal off a pass from Angela Postage. Before the half Behrend scored 2 more goals to bring the score to 1-3. In the second half, Behrend put a slew of shots at the Barons, but goalkeeper Rebekka Dill managed to only let one get by. The offensive unit had four shots in the second half, but none fell. The final score Barons 1, PS Behrend 4.

Inside the Numbers
-Barons totaled nine shots with four of them on goal.
-Tania Davidson's goal was the 16th of her career
-Angela Postage' assist was the 5th of her career

This will also be the Blue Devils second game of the year, as they lost to Baldwin Wallace on Friday night by a score of 1-0.
