Race: Paul Short Run 6K
Location: Bethlehem, Pa.
Short Story: Claire Walters finished in second place in a field of 330 runners, while setting a program record for best time in Women's Cross Country history in a 6k race.

Race Highlights
The Franciscan Women's Cross Country competed at Lehigh University on Friday afternoon after a couple of weeks off from competition. Claire Walters led the way once again for the Barons with a second place finish in the massive field of talented runners. Her time of 21:36.1 in the 6K race set a new program record, as she bested Grace Galligan's 21:45.7 in the 2018 NCAA National Championship. 

Next to finish for Franciscan was Jessica Campbell with a 68th place finish. Rachel Hurley also finished in the top half with a 123rd finish. Both Campbell and Hurley's time set new personal records for themselves. Round ing out the top five were Angelina Toole and Anne O'Boyle, as the Barons placed 20th out of 42 teams in the Women's College White Race. Franciscan was the highest finishing school from the PAC, as Washington & Jefferson and Thiel also competed today at Lehigh.

Up Next
Franciscan will now have a couple weeks to prepare for the Oberlin Intra-Regional Rumble which will be on Saturday October 15th. This will be a good opportunity to see where Franciscan ranks among many talented teams from our NCAA Great Lakes Region. 

15th Annual Kelly Roggensack Memorial Races
The Annual Kelly Roggensack Memorial Races will take place for the 15th time in its history, once again kicking off a busy Saturday on Homecoming Weekend. The races will begin at 8 am on October 1st, 2022, with the 1K Kids Fun Run followed by the 5K Run & 3K Walk at 8:20 am. Click here for more info and to signup
