Short Story: Claire Walters finished in second place in a field of 330 runners, while setting a program record for best time in Women's Cross Country history in a 6k race.
Race Highlights
The Franciscan Women's Cross Country competed at Lehigh University on Friday afternoon after a couple of weeks off from competition.
Claire Walters led the way once again for the Barons with a second place finish in the massive field of talented runners. Her time of 21:36.1 in the 6K race set a new program record, as she bested Grace Galligan's 21:45.7 in the 2018 NCAA National Championship.Â
Next to finish for Franciscan was
Jessica Campbell with a 68th place finish.
Rachel Hurley also finished in the top half with a 123rd finish. Both Campbell and Hurley's time set new personal records for themselves. Round ing out the top five were
Angelina Toole and
Anne O'Boyle, as the Barons placed 20th out of 42 teams in the Women's College White Race. Franciscan was the highest finishing school from the PAC, as Washington & Jefferson and Thiel also competed today at Lehigh.Â

October 1st, 2022, with the 1K Kids Fun Run followed by the 5K Run & 3K Walk at 8:20 am.Â
