How It Happened
The first half was a battle in the midfield. Each team spaced and defended the field well. This led to very few opportunities for either team on the attacking end. Tania Davidson and Juliana Rubino played a good two man game taking different stabs at the Bobcat defense, but no high percentage chances were available. The Bobcats had a few corner kick opportunities, but Angela Postage stood tall in the middle of the pack and prevented any good looks for the Bobcats.
Early in the second half, Bella Rubino zig-zagged her way through multiple Bobcat defenders. Rubino placed her shot perfectly in the top right corner of the net, and the goalie had no chance of stopping it. The Barons stayed on the attack for a majority of the remainder of the game. Late in the second half, the Barons were given two yellow cards as they tried to hold off a couple Greensburg attacks. Anni Winogradoff bodied a Bobcat as she contested a ball. Coach Rigaud didn't agree with the call, but the Barons recovered and prevented any good looks. In the remaining seconds, the head official didn't like the way Rebekka Dill handled the ball after a save and gave her a quick yellow card for time wasting 10 seconds before time ran out. The Bobcats weren't awarded a free kick for the card, so Dill kicked a goal kick past midfield preventing any chance of the Bobcats to get a last second chance.

Inside the Numbers
-Bella Rubino grabbed her first goal of the season
-Rebekka Dill recorded 4 saves in her first shutout of the year.
