Short Story: The Barons were led by 
Lauren Dosch who continued her stellar freshman season with a new personal best time to help the Barons place fifth.
Race Highlights
Franciscan Women's Cross Country made the trip to Wilmington, as 240 athletes from 29 teams would be competing on Friday afternoon. 
Lauren Dosch led the way with a fifth place finish with a new season-best time of 19:13.94 in the 5K race. Three of the four runners to finish above her in this talented field would be NAIA athletes, as she would be the first NCAA freshman to finish.
Jessica Campbell would be next to finish for Franciscan, as she broke 20 minutes for the first time in a 5K in her collegiate career. 
Rachel Hurley would be next to cross the finish line, and 
Clara Gross would not be far behind with a new personal-bet time as well for the sophomore. 
Teresa Meli would be the fifth Baron to finish to give them 190 points. That would place the Barons in 5th for one of their best team finishes of the season.

Up Next
Franciscan will now prepare for the PAC Championship which will be held on October 28th at Thiel. This will be a return-trip to Greenville, as the Barons placed second at the Tomcat Rumble in September. The Barons are in search of improvement from last year when they placed 5th out of 11 Teams at the PAC Championship. The last time the Barons have won a Conference Championship was in 2018 when the won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship.
