Franciscan 0, W&J 1
Starting XIÂ
Elise Winogradoff, Teaghan Elmore, Gabriella De La Torre, Isabella Corley, Maria De La Torre, Tania Davidson, Kierra Wilson, Lillian Torbeck, Juliana Rubino, Bella Rubino, & Goalkeeper - Rebekka DillÂ
How It HappenedÂ
Today the Barons fell to 7th and need a late season push to get back into postseason play. The 0-1 loss to W&J is bittersweet. It's sweet that the Postage-less defense was able to hold a team to 1 goal and only 6 SOG. It's bitter to continue to see the potent offense petering, and bitter to see the only W&J goal come in the waning seconds of the first half.
The veteran Lillian Torbeck stepped up and tried to make something happen by leading the Barons with 3 shots and 2 SOG. The Barons have four games remaining including Saint Vincent and Geneva who sit right above them in the standings. That's four high quality games to get the scoring machine roaring again and make another championship push.

Inside the Numbers Â
-Dill recorded 5 saves
-This is only the seventh time in her career that a PAC team held Tania Davidson pointless
Who's Next?Â
Franciscan will now travel to Chatham on Wednesday night for a battle against the Cougars. The Barons are 4-5-1 all-time against the Cougars, as they tied last season by a score of 0-0. Francsiscan has not beat Chatham since 2019. In that non-conference battle, Bella Rubino scored the first goal, and Sarah Cocozza scored a late game-winner for the Barons to win by a score of 3-2.Â
