Race Highlights
Franciscan Women's Cross Country made the trip north to the Akron area for the second time this season, as they ran in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet. 269 runners would run in this talented field on a mild fall day.Â
Lauren Dosch led the way for the Barons with a time of 22:20.35 in the 6K race to place 54th. She would fall just shy of All-Region honors, which is awarded to the Top 35 runners, but the PAC Newcomer of the Year posted a new personal best time in the 6K by nearly a minute.Â
Jessica Campbell kept up the trend of new personal best times, as she posted a time of 23:22.18 to place 112th. It would be a career-best time for her over her three-year collegiate career.
Rachel Hurley can say the same thing, as she was less than a second behind Campbell.Â
Clara Gross would be next to finish for Franciscan in 167th with a time of 24:21.48. That would also be a new personal best time in the 6K distance. Fifth to finish for Franciscan would be
Anne O'Boyle with a time just north of 26 minutes. Not far behind her was
Angelina Toole, who ended her collegiate career cross country career at this meet.Â
The Barons would have a team score of 680 points to place 22nd out of 40 teams. Allegheny, the only other PAC school in the region, placed 14th with a score of 384 points. Calvin would win the region with 90 points, and a runner from Centre would take the individual crown.Â
