How It Happened
Franciscan baseball started off their annual spring break trip to Florida with a doubleheader against Lasell University on Sunday afternoon. This would be the first time that they had faced the Lasers in school history.

Neither team scored in the opening two innings, but then the Lasers would tally three runs in the third with Watson not having his best command today. Then there would be a couple more clean innngs until Lasell pulled away in the sixth with a crooked number. The Barons would get one run in the seventh when Wase Stoehr drove in anthony Franzonello, who stole two bags to get into scoring position.

At the Plate
- Barons would just get two hits off Fletcher who pitched a gem for the Lasers.
- Scavnicky and Stoehr had the lone hits.

On the Mound
- Starter Jacob Watson did not have his best, but was still able to eat some innings on day one of spring break.
- Josh Henry and Jacob Paz closed out the last inning.

At the Plate
- Peter Falconite had a pair of hits while getting the nod at second base.
- Kyle Ferrance had a single to give the Barons three hits.
- Brendan Burke drew two walks.

On the Mound
- Izzo struck out four and walked four in his five innings of work.
- Brody Hynes got roughed up in one inning of relief with four earned runs to his name.

Up Next
Franciscan will get right back after it on Monday, as they take on Mount Saint Vincent in a single nine inning game. This will be the first time that the Barons have taken on the Dolphins in school history. They hold a winning record thus far this season. On Sunday they beat PAC-member Thiel by a score of 3-2.
