How It Happened
Franciscan baseball kicked off their last doubleheader of the Florida trip on Friday morning at 10 am against Washington College (Md.)

Franciscan would go down in order in the top of the first, as the Shoreman would serve as the home team in game one. They would get on the board first in the bottom half of the inning with a two run shot by Iseman. The Barons answered in the second with an RBI double by Ferrnace to score Stoehr. The Shoreman would set the lead back to two runs with an RBI double of their own in the bottom of the second.

Franciscan would pull within one with a run in the third. With the bases loaded, Jacob Watson delivered a deep shot to center, that would be caught, but score Froman to set the score at 3-2. Washington would then score six runs in the fourth to take a commanding 9-2 edge.

The Barons would chip into the lead in the sixth with an RBI double from Ferrance once again. The Barons rolled the dice on the next at bat with Scavnicky getting thrown out at home on a fielder's choice. The Barons would not score again, as the Shoreman would close it out to win by a score of 13-3

At the Plate
- Ferrance led the team with three hits and two RBIs.
- Watson and Stoehr each had a pair of hits.
- Brendan Burke drew the lone walk.

On the Mound

How It Happened
Franciscan looked to regroup in game number two with Jacob Watson on the mound for the Barons. He would allow a run in the top of the first, but his teammates would pick him up in the bottom of the inning. With two out, Wade Stoehr continued his great day with an RBI single to right field that scored Anthony Franzonello. The Shoreman would go on to get a run in the second and third innings to take a 3-1 lead. Unfortunately, they would keep that up with four runs in the fifth inning, including a three-run home run.

Wade Stoehr, who was now pitching for the Barons, would give them a spark in the fifth. He delivered a two-RBI double that scored David Ferroni and Jesse Izzo. That sparked a pitching change for the opposition, but that did not stop the offensive production. Kyle Ferrance would hit one deep enough to right field to allow Brendan Burke to tag-up and score the fourth run for the Barons. That would send us to the sixth inning with a score of 7-4.

Washington would add some insurance runs with a pair of two-out runs combined in the sixth and seventh innings. That would send us to our final three outs, while trailing by five runs. The Shoreman would switch pitchers, and it would prove to be an effective move, as the Barons went down in order to end game two.

At the Plate
- Stoehr had three RBIs.
- Ferroni had a pair of doubles.
- Franzonello had a hit, drew a walk, and hit by pitch to keep getting on base.

On the Mound
- Watson pitched into the fifth inning, as he struck out three and allowed seven hits.
- Wade Stoehr pitched 2.1 innings with just one earned run to his name.

Both games will be scheduled for seven innings. This will be the first time that these two teams have played each other in baseball.
