How It Happened
The Franciscan Barons came home after a tough road loss to Oberlin last week. It was a very slow offensive start for the Barons. In the first half they were held to only 8 shots while allowing 20 from the Cardinals. The Barons went into halftime trailing 9-0.
Shortly into the start of the second half the Cardinals scored their tenth goal and go up 10-0. The resulting running clock awoken the Barons. Grace Deegan fired back-to-back goals off. Later in the 4th quarter, Deegan completed her hat trick, but Otterbein had kept pace in the scoring tallying a total of 6 more goals in the second half.

Inside the Numbers
-Brehm, Hilkert, Haug, McGovern, Morisey, and Lyle each registered a shot
-Carolyn Cooke was second in shots on the team with 3
-Mary Bohli led the team with 4 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers.

Up Next
Franciscan will conclude their non-conference slate on Saturday at Marietta. The Barons are 1-1 all-time against the Pioneers. Last season, the Pioneers came out on top by a score of 15-7. Deegan scored a pair of goals for the Barons in the loss, but 10 first half goals from Marietta was too much to overcome. This season the Pioneers are 3-1 against the PAC with the lone winning coming to the reigning champs from Washington & Jefferson.
