How It HappenedÂ
The Barons jumped out to a 4-1 start in the 1st quarter and never looked back. The Bison tried to make a run in the 2nd quarter. They scored two unanswered goals to bring the score to 4-3, but the big Sam Marshall put back-to-back goals in for the Barons to bring the lead back to 6-3. The Barons held the Bison to only 5 shots in the 4th quarter. This defensive effort lead to the Bison scoring only one goal all second half. Add a 6-3 faceoff win in the second half and you have our recipe for how the Barons outscored the Bison 6-1 in the back half.
   Â
Inside the NumbersÂ
-Alexander Dhabliwala scored 4 goals in his return back to play
-Samuel Marshall scored a hat-trick and tallied 3 more assists.
-Nicholas Sando and Dominic Scordino led the Barons with 9 shots
-Richard Vale II had a game-high 10 ground balls
-Fabian Onativia tallied 10 saves
Up NextÂ
Franciscan will make it four home games in a row, as they host Grove City on Wednesday night at 7 pm. The Barons are in search of their first win against the Wolverines, who hold a losing record through non-conference play. That should not fool you, as three of those losses came to nationally ranked teams. They still sit a top the PAC standings. This should be a great test for the Barons.Â
