How It Happened
Cooke and Deegan each scored a pair of goals in the 1st quarter to help the Barons jump out to an early 6-3 lead. In the 2nd quarter the women struggled to find an answer for Tomcats' Johnson and Wightman. The pair accounted for all but one goal and all the assists in the second quarter for the Tomcats. This surge of scoring brought the game to even going into the half.
The 3rd quarter was back and forth. The Barons finished the quarter with two unanswered goals from Brehm and Hilkert to take a 14-13 lead heading into the final period. Joanna Hilkert ended up with the game winning goal on a man up opportunity. For good measure Hilkert put scored one more then Deegan added two more goals to round out the Barons scoring at 20 goals.

It will be Senior Day in Washington, Pa., as the Barons look to play the role of spoiler.
