How It Happened
Franciscan baseball made the trip to Latrobe to take on Saint Vincent in a conference doubleheader. Game one was a back and forth thriller, but a four-run bottom of the seventh inning would propel the Bearcats to victory. 

The Barons would take the lead first in this one, as the first two batters in the second inning would reach via walks. David Ferroni would drive in Kyle Ferrance with a double to center, and Franzonello would later score on a wild pitch. The Bearcats would take the lead back in the fourth as they scored four runs to take a 5-4 edge. 

The Barons would tie it up at 8-8 in sixth inning with the big hit being a three-run double by Ferrance. The Bearcats would respond with four in the seventh to give us our final score of 12-8. 

At the Plate
- Samuel Tyler became the first Baron to have five hits in a game in school history. 
- Ferrnace had two hits with three RBIs and two runs scored.
- The Barons out-hit the Bearcats 16-11. 

On the Mound
- Starter Jesse Izzo allowed four earned in just under four innings of work
- Jonathan Perez pitched two and a third with three earned runs.
- Charlie Sabol took the loss while pitching two thirds of an inning. 
- Brody Hynes blanked the Bearcats while getting four outs.

How It Happened
Game two had a lot fewer runs, as the Barons scatted eight hits over nine innings. The Bearcats would take an early 3-0 lead through four innings. The Barons would load the bases with two outs in the fifth and score their lone run on a wild pitch before the inning ended. Jeremy Sagun delivered a quality start, but would get a tough, luck loss with the Bearcats winning 5-1. 

At the Plate
- Kyle Ferrance had a pair of hits.
- Jacob Watson scored the lone run.


On the Mound  
- Starter Jeremy Sagun pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs on five hits. 
- Dominic Brandi pitched two innings with both runs being unearned. 
- Joseph Hurlbert pitched a scoreless eighth. 

Up Next 
The Barons will now have some time off for Easter, as they do not play until next Wednesday. Washington & Jefferson comes to town for an afternoon conference doubleheader. The Presidents are the defending champions of the conference, but they have been beat in conference once already this season, as Grove City split with them.
