How It Happened
Franciscan took the trip out east to Mount Aloysius on Thursday evening to take on the Mounties. The trip would be worth it, as the Barons picked up a four set win to get back to .500 (6-6) on the season.

Franciscan would take an early 6-4 lead in the opening set with Hebert having three consecutive aces in the early going. The Mounties would respond with a large rally that would propel them to a 15-9 lead of their own. The Barons would slowly chip away at the lead to tie it back up at 22-22. Service aces would be big late as well, as Sara Moore had three to close this one out 25-22.

Mount Aloysius would answer in set two. They would be the first to fifteen points at 15-11, and they would not look back. They would not relinquish th lead, as they took the second set 25-20.

The Barons would take the momentum back in the third. Mary Jean Cadman had three aces in the beginning of this set to take a 13-8 advantage. Annelise Davis added three kills to extend the lead at 17-10. Franciscan would then go on a 5-0 run to put this one out of reach and take the 2-1 edge.

Hebert and Davis kept the offensive momentum going in set four, as Franciscan would have an early 10-5 lead. The Mounties would not be able to get anything going in the decisive set, as they began pressing and making a handful of errors. The Barons would take the final set 25-16 to win their third road match of the season.
