How It Happened
Franciscan Women's Volleyball played at Finnegan Fieldhouse for the first time since October 28th 2021, as the court was flooded in August of 2022. The Barons held a 6-4 record last year in home games that were played at various high schools across the Ohio Valley.
It did not take long for the Barons to get their first home win this season, as they swept Chatham in front of an electric home crowd on Wednesday evening.
Set one would be the closest of the night.
Annelise Davis would rack up three kills to help the Barons be the first to fifteen. In the end it would be the veteran,
Rani Hebert, with two big kills down the stretch to win 25-21.
The Barons jumped out to a 4-0 lead in set two with three points coming off aces from
Grace Wallace.
Gabrielle Disselkamp would have five kills throughout the set, as the Barons would not relinquish their early lead to take the set by a score of 25-19.4
Cassidy McCollum would be a spark off the bench in the third set. She would earn five kills in Franciscan's first 13 points. It would be all Barons in the final set.
Brynn Jacobson picked up a kill late as well to help the Barons win 25-17
